Cryogenic centrifugal and reciprocating pumps
Targets:
To familiarise participants with the theory, concepts, construction and components of cryogenic pumps conceived and manufactured by Cryostar.
To teach participants maintenance procedures and specific repairs.
Teaching Objectives:
To assimilate trade terminology.
To know the function and construction of principle parts and associated auxiliaries.
To assimilate procedures to start, operate, load and stop the pumps safely.
To apply maintenance methods recommended by Cryostar to optimize equipment operation and reliability.
To understand security systems function and the principle loops of control.
To diagnose and tackle specific repair methods for cryogenic pumps in their user environment.
To master dismantling/re-mantling and installation techniques.
Preliminary requirements:
An elementary knowledge in general mechanics and/or mechanical maintenance.

Expander turbines with oil or magnetic bearings
Targets:
To familiarise participants with the theory, conception, construction and components of the various expander turbines with oil or magnetic bearings designed and manufactured by Cryostar, in the air gases or hydrocarbons sectors.
To teach participants maintenance procedures and specific repairs.

To teach crews the procedures of management, maintenance and specific troubleshooting.
