Cryostar is a major supplier to Air Liquide, Praxair, Air Products, Linde, Messer Griesheim and Nippon Sanso which are the leading industrial gas companies. Cryostar is delivers pumps and turbines world-wide, and has signed supply contracts or maintenance contracts with most of its customers.

Over more than 4 decades, Cryostar has participated in several large-scale projects. Recently, Cryostar has received the order for turbines and pumps for the huge GTL project Pearl in Qatar the largest air separation units in the world with 8 trains with a capacity 3900 tons per day and per train.

LNG carriers

Equipping LNG carriers with compressors and heat exchangers, Cryostar is a supplier to all LNG carrier-building shipyards world-wide : in Japan (Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Kawasaki), in Korea (Daewoo, Hanjin, Hyundai, Samsung) and in Europe (Chantiers de l'Atlantique, Fincantieri, Astilleros de Sestao).

Cryostar is also the only supplier for the reliquefaction systems for the Q-max vessels for Qatar gas.

Hydrocarbon applications

Cryostar turbines for hydrocarbon applications are installed on offshore gas platforms in the North Sea (Sleipner A and Sleipner T for Statoil) or on the continent like in France at Notre Dame de Gravanchon (Esso).

They are also several magnetic bearing and oil lubricated turbo expanders which are delivered and installed on many projects recently build in middle east and Europe.

Clean energy

In this relatively new segment, Cryostar received in the course of 2006 two major turbine orders for geothermal applications, one in Unteraching (Germany) and one in France for the hot dry rock project of Soultz-sous-Forêt (North of Strasbourg). Both projects are for delivery in 2007.
