| This machine is used when the process requires an expansion turbine coupled with a larger compressor. As we do no more have a power balance between expander and compressor, the differential power has to be injected to ensure the necessary power balance. This is obtained by mean of a high frequency motor. The whole unit is on magnetic bearings and allows a very high operating flexibility.
